How to Get Rid of German Roaches in El Paso — For Good

Why German Roaches Are Different

German cockroaches (Blattella germanica) are not the big roaches you occasionally see outside. They are small, fast-breeding, and they live inside your home — in walls, under appliances, inside cabinets, and behind outlets. A single female can produce up to 400 offspring in her lifetime.

In El Paso's warm, dry climate they thrive year-round. Unlike outdoor roaches that wander in by accident, German roaches establish colonies and multiply rapidly. By the time you see one in daylight, there are likely hundreds hidden in harborage areas.

Signs You Have a German Roach Infestation

  • Small, dark droppings that look like coffee grounds or black pepper near appliances
  • An oily, musty odor in the kitchen or bathroom
  • Egg cases (oothecae) — brown capsule-shaped objects tucked into corners
  • Roaches visible during the day (daytime sightings = heavy infestation)
  • Smear marks along walls or baseboards

Why Over-the-Counter Products Fail

Most store-bought sprays repel roaches rather than kill them. When you spray a repellent, roaches scatter deeper into walls and voids — temporarily out of sight but very much alive. They return as soon as the repellent breaks down, often worse than before.

German roaches have also developed resistance to many common insecticides. Without rotating chemistry and using IGR (insect growth regulators), you'll never break the breeding cycle.

The Victory Pest 3-Step German Roach Protocol

Step 1 — Initial Treatment ($200 per room)

We start by killing, cleaning, and treating the affected area. This includes gel bait application in all harborage zones, crack and crevice treatment with professional-grade chemistry, and a thorough cleaning to eliminate pheromone trails that attract other roaches.

Step 2 — IGR Application

Insect Growth Regulator is the key ingredient most DIY treatments miss. IGR prevents juvenile roaches from molting into reproductive adults, collapsing the population from within. Without IGR, you may kill the adults but the egg cases keep hatching.

Step 3 — Two Follow-Up Visits ($125 each)

Roach eggs are resistant to most treatments. Our two follow-up visits target the hatching generation and any survivors. By visit three, populations are typically eliminated or reduced to near zero.

Note: Extreme infestations may require additional visits — we'll tell you upfront.

Prevention Tips After Treatment

  • Fix any leaking pipes — moisture is their #1 attractant
  • Seal gaps around plumbing penetrations with caulk
  • Don't leave pet food out overnight
  • Keep cardboard boxes out of the home — roaches lay eggs in corrugation
  • Clean behind the refrigerator and stove regularly
